Some call it the Fair Foreclosure Act, but others call it the Unfair Foreclosure Act.
They are referring to Florida House Bill 87, which has re-ignited controversy over foreclosures, banks’ and lawyers’ roles and court procedures.
Florida leads the nation in the number of foreclosures, with an estimated backlog of 370,000 cases in courts. The bill is important for businesses because there will be some winners and losers – depending on who is asked.
