The Louisiana federal judge overseeing the multi-district litigation and the BP settlement refused the oil company’s request to suspend claim payments for damages from the Deepwater Horizon disaster.
BP wanted payments suspended because of allegations of misconduct by an employee at an Alabama claims center, but an internal probe by an investigator working for Patrick Juneau, the claims administrator, found no evidence of fraud.
