Consummating final agreements with insurance plans to be offered on federal health insurance exchanges has been delayed until mid-September.
According to a Reuters report, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services was supposed to finalize the insurance plan agreements by Sept. 9 for the online marketplaces opening Oct. 1.
It is unclear what prompted the delay or if the delay will affect the start of the exchanges’ enrollment period, the report stated.
