Fernando Torres pleaded guilty in federal court to aiding and assisting in the preparation and presentation of fraudulent tax returns.
The Internal Revenue Service ended up paying tax refunds of $697,573 for the fraudulent returns, according to a written statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Tampa.
