ALPS South, a St. Petersburg medical device company, was awarded $15.5 million in damages in a patent infringement case.
It is one of the largest judgments of its kind in the region, said Ronald Christaldi, a Shumaker Loop & Kendrick lawyer who represented ALPS in a lawsuit involving a competitor in Ohio.
