A federal judge has resentenced Sarasota businesswoman Marian Morgan to 33 years and nine months in prison for conspiracy, wire fraud, interstate/foreign transportation of stolen funds, money laundering and filing false tax returns.
Morgan also was ordered to pay restitution of nearly $20 million, according to a written statement.
A federal jury convicted Morgan in September 2011 after a 17-day trial. She was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Susan Bucklew at that time to a 35-year prison term.
