Cuba Travel Services Inc. launched its first flight to Cuba from Tampa International Airport on Dec. 10, bringing to 11 the number of weekly flights from TIA to the island.
Since starting in 2011, the direct Cuba charter flights have generated $1.4 million for TIA in fees and passenger spending, according to a written statement. With the current flight schedule, another $1.4 million is expected in 2014.
