Sarasota has been selected to host an international rowing regatta in 2017.
Suncoast Aquatic Nature Center Association, a nonprofit managing Benderson Park’s rowing venue, received an email notification from the International Federation of Rowing Associations that the park was recommended as the site of the 2017 World Rowing Championship, according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
