Woman to Woman grant goes to Moffitt

Moffitt Cancer Center received a $50,000 Woman to Woman grant from the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund and QVC to support gynecological cancer patients. OCRF’s patient support program partners patients with trained and supervised survivor volunteers to provide mentoring and support. The grant covers implementation of the program and its first year of operation, a spokesman said. Part of the criteria in selecting a grant recipient is that the site has the ability to sustain the program going forward.
