The Citrus County Hospital Board spurned Tampa General Hospital’s bid to take over Citrus Memorial Hospital.
In a meeting July 10 to evaluate the four bidders, the board narrowed the finalists on the bidders list to three for-profit hospital companies – HCA Holdings, Health Management Associates and RegionalCare Hospital Partners.
