CLEARWATER — TransDigm Group Inc. considered acquiring Aerosonic Corp. back in 2008 after a fire destroyed one of Aerosonic’s three buildings at its Hercules Avenue site.
It was a very tough time for Aerosonic (NYSE MKT: AIM), which – like TransDigm – manufactures aviation components.
Aerosonic struggled with business interruption and maintaining liquidity. It came close to bankruptcy.
TransDigm passed on the acquisition back then only to return last month to craft a definitive agreement…
