Dee Anna Farnell, a veteran marathon runner and Pinellas Circuit judge, was unharmed by explosions today near the end of the Boston Marathon.
A race participant, she contacted Sixth Judicial Circuit officials to report she was safe. Her husband, former circuit Judge Crockett Farnell, was at the marathon to support her and also was unharmed.
She was about a half mile from where the explosions occurred and heard them.
This is the judge’s 16th Boston Marathon.
