U.S. Attorney Robert O’Neill to resign

Robert E. O’Neill, U.S. attorney for the Middle District of Florida, on Thursday revealed that he would resign this summer to join Freeh Group International Solutions LLC. President Barack Obama nominated O’Neill, who has been a federal prosecutor for most of his career, for the Middle District post in Tampa in 2011. The district encompasses 35 counties.
